Elon Musk Bought Twitter

While most of us are still catching up on the news about Twitter Inc.’s recent $26 billion acquisition by social media giant Google parent company Alphabet Inc. for a cool $1.6 billion, we can’t help but wonder what this means for the future of tech and social media.

Besides, we have been on the edge of our seats since the news. The acquisition of the microblogging network by a company already a giant in the digital advertising and mobile advertising industries would significantly impact how the general public interacts with and receives information about their favourite brands.

That’s right, even though Twitter has been around since 2006, many people still have no clue how to effectively use the social media platform to promote their brand, products and services. And as a result, they are not as popular as they could be.

As soon as rumours started circulating that Alphabet Inc. would acquire Twitter, many of us began to wonder if it would be good for the future of tech and social media or if it was going to hurt the industry as a whole.
