Kids Say the Darndest Things

I have always thought the whole baby food thing was a scam. Way back when my son was two, he had never tried spicy food before. He hadn’t attempted a lemon or very much sugar. I kept him on mushy veggies and then potatoes and other healthy homemade treats. And the occasional snacks, like cookies or chips. I made dinner every night and was not a very good cook back then. I tried my best, but I burnt my fair share of dinners.

Baby Food

Babies can go from breast milk to mushy food to hard foods without wasting money on individual servings of preservatives-filled foods that hardly have any nutritious value other than the added vitamin content at the end of the ingredients list.

  • Long story short, I made my baby food. My son was an excellent hardy eater and loved to snack. And I wasn’t a wonderful cook. I was often burning dinner.

Snack Time

One day my son and I were chilling at the house. My son loved chips and snacks but was in for a surprise that day!

I was buzzing about cleaning up after lunch, and I put some spicey Dorito chips in a bowl on the coffee…
