The Book of the Ages: Chapter 4
Chapter 4: The Legacy of the Babylonians
1 And it came to pass after the great flood that the Babylonians arose, inheritors of the ancient wisdom, and they settled in the land of Mesopotamia, where the rivers flowed abundantly.
2 They were a people skilled in the arts of agriculture, and they harnessed the waters of the Euphrates and the Tigris to nourish their fields.
3 Their cities rose, majestic in their construction, with Babylon becoming the crown of their civilization, a symbol of human achievement and ambition.
4 In those days, the Babylonians delved into the mysteries of the heavens, and they became renowned as astronomers.
5 They observed the stars by night, charting the movements of celestial bodies, and their knowledge grew vast as the firmament above.
6 And they devised a system of mathematics based on the sacred number of sixty, allowing them to measure time, angles, and the cycles of the moon.
