Karma: Life is Divided Up By What We Have Added and Subtracted
Karma is a Sanskrit word that means “action,” Its literal meaning is that everything we do affects future events. This concept of karma is not something mystical or philosophical but rather a scientific fact.
- The more you put into a given act, the more you will receive out of return; the more you take from life, the more you will be taken advantage of.
For example, if you drive recklessly and injure other drivers, you will experience negative consequences for the rest of your life. However, if you plant seeds in the soil to grow flowers and watch them bloom a week later, you will have to live with that for the rest of your life.
- Karma works in mysterious ways; one’s actions have repercussions which cannot be avoided.
