Yearning For Home

My once dream to backpack the world was fading like the jungle behind me. I had survived being held captive and conveyed with the military around the continent of South America.

Upon returning to Margarita Island, where I began my trek, I met with “Reiko,” the person who had taken me to the mainland holding cell, where I stayed a few days before embarking on my journey across South America. Once we got off the shipping boat transporting passengers from the island to the mainland, I was back in Caracas.
