Is Armageddon Here?
Last Days of the Third Age: Biblical Accuracy in Contemporary Life
Biblical Foreshadowing
Scripture speaks of the last days of the third age as a time that will bring destruction to the world and mark the end of human history. However, if we understand this concept in terms, Those who are alive at that time will not escape when it is ended, to speak of it as an ending period.
The final days are commonly called Armageddon or simply The End. It is also called the Night of Judgement, The Great Day, The Last Day, and The End of All Things (Heb. 9:26–27). Some translations use similar phrases such as "the day of the Lord" (Amos 5:18) or "the day of vengeance" (2 Pet 3:10).
Most end-time interpretations see in these texts a poetic vision or an allegory for something that will happen at some point in history but not necessarily at this particular point.
Because there is much confusion surrounding this subject and no one knows for sure what Scripture teaches about it, let us explore this Biblical topic more thoroughly by examining verses relating to it within their historical context and highlighting its implications for our lives today.
