2020 Pandemic when we were Stuck Inside
I have been inside the house for a while — with the occasional shopping trip or another errand now and then. With Covid spreading and risk factors, more and more of us are staying inside these days. Some of our homes might not be very healthy. With possible reno’s needed dust, dirty vents whatever. It occurred to me that mental health is directly related to the environment, and it’s plausible people live more online than in their homes.
For example, I put off sorting socks until my closet (still) is overflowing with two huge ripped bags of random articles of clothing and socks, why you might ask. Because online right now is where it’s at. I have multiple emails to respond to daily, checking thousands of LinkedIn notifications, checking my FaceBook, (occasionally) Tweeting something, then google searching. Plus, of course, work.
To do my job, I must research case studies, legal argument research, draw legal documents and find time to write my blog. I spend a reasonable amount of time on the internet. To which I do interact with people. The truth is, though, when I walk into a store with my mask up, I’m usually not eager to start a conversation. So in return…
