It was California Baby! Hot summer sun, San Fransisco, a dash this way or that. Little to the left, and you're in Sonoma. The sunshine town, with the classiest little splash of jazz hip.

I was invited to the NHRA Races two years in a row. It was fabulous. The smell of tropical fruits and new car mixed with strawberry wine was all the best.

I was out by the first-class glass lounge getting a close-up of John Force, and Mr. Handsome clutches at me as I reach for my phone to bring it to eye level. We both smiled. Snap. The selfie was taken.
