How To Draw Symentically

Art came easy to me as I grew up. The people around me were very talented. My eldest brother was incredibly talented alone, yet our family excelled both in art and in music. Here are some new styles to try.

1. Take your sheet of drawing paper and fold it in half. DO NOT MAKE A SHARP CREASE
2. Use a soft graphite pencil, or tipped pen (even a pencil crayon will work)
3. Draw a design on one half of the paper
4. Then fold the paper in half, back the same way you folded it the first time.
5. Trace the image
6. Unfold paper
7. Trace the ink/graphite marks, have fun designing; it doesn't have to be symmetrical. It just helps give you symmetry in general for any image that you want to create.
8. Complete your outline
9. Go around the outline and thicken the outline, as desired
10. Colour/paint/pastel/ complete your piece of art, sign and date

You can use this technique for any use. Tracing is the art of transforming something into original work. Print base black and white images, layer to create complete art. This can be used for any image. Practice makes perfect!
