Mother Goose
Classicly this story must start with once upon a time. There was a Mother Goose.
Mother Goose was in her first year of life and had just laid her first set of eggs in a sunsetting field by a hill.
Spring and summer came and went. The winter was nipping at the fall. Poor Mother Goose had little ducklings just able to fly but did not yet know where to fly to.
All the other little forest animals were scurrying about preparing for the bitter cold, but Mother Goose had no thick fur. She didn’t know how to survive the winter. Well, Mother Goose was not giving up. She knew other animals knew what to do, and she asked around.
She asked the beaver how he learned to survive the winter. In a rush, the beaver with a flap of his tail and says, “Wise Old Owl told me.” Not knowing where to find the Wise Old Owl, she searched on.
She came to frogs buried in the mud, and they told her to waddle to in the wind, find the Old Tree, and there he be.
So off Mother Goose went to find the Wise Old Owl to tell her how to survive the winter.
Mother Goose began to grow tired, in a haze. The mist followed her as she waddled towards the Old Tree. When…
